The Ragged Ass Swing Band returns with a love-inspired evening to the Chateau Nova’s ballroom on Valentine’s Day - Saturday February 14th 2026!! Big band music that will get you dancing, great singers to croon for you, and hot solos to warm you up. Inviting everyone to come - on your own, as a group, with a friend, with a special someone. Come in your finery or in your long-johns - we will play our best for you!
The band has expanded with every show, and now has a total of 22 members! The band will play three sets, with music ranging back almost 100 years through the classic swing eras and Sinatra-esque songsters.
The always-popular pre-show dance lesson will be back, led by Yellowknife’s Lindy Hop Amanda Kanbari, from 7:30 - 8:00pm. No experience necessary - all levels welcome including beginners.
Some treats will be included in the ticket price, and there will be a bar setup (cash or card) for non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks.
